Meet the Founder - Katie Ireland
Hi, my name is Katie and I’m an Executive Flourishing Coach, focused on celebrating human potential.
As the former CEO and Co-Founder of Enliven Empathy, I partnered with large corporates and smaller social enterprises to increase inclusion and belonging using the power of VR.
Prior to start-up life, I spent almost 20 years in the corporate world within global marketing and STEM-based leadership roles at Nike, House of Fraser, and New Look.
As a start-up CEO, Coach and Corporate Leader, I’m known for my expertise at the intersection of technology and psychology.
As a passionate advocate for DE&I,
I’ve actively promoted wellbeing and inclusion throughout my career, playing a pivotal role in shaping Nike's approach to disability, and creating House of Fraser’s insight-driven wellbeing strategy.
I hold a Masters Degree in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology (an EMCC certified programme), and a Certificate in Body Oriented Coaching (Level 2 – ICF accredited) with over 5 years of experience. As an accredited ICF Coach (ACC) I follow the ICF core competences and code of ethics.
Additionally, I’m a Mental Health First Aider and a Level 3 Personal Trainer, who believes in the power of holistic wellbeing and human connection within the workplace and beyond.
to transform all elements of business. My roles took me all over all the world managing complex analytical challenges and defining data driven solutions for large multinational clients. At the heart of much of my work, was the study of consumers i.e. humans, and the recognition that if we understand another’s goals and perspectives we can better communicate and meet their needs.
This practice is widely accepted within the world of sales and marketing, yet continues to be overlooked elsewhere.
Beginning my career at dunnhumby ignited a passion for the power of AI and ML
This needs to change….
Human connection and understanding are critical for every relationship, thus all elements of work and life.
Consequently, I've become a fervent advocate for integrating essential human skills like empathy, play, and curiosity to foster deeper connections with ourselves and others, driving the achievement of both personal and collective goals.
A fascination with human connection has been a key theme throughout my leadership journey.
As I've progressed, I've had the privilege to lead diverse and high performing teams through which I discovered my superpower; my ability to unlock the potential in others and help them to define and fulfil their goals. This led me towards formal coaching training in which I specialised in positive psychology, and authentic and embodied leadership practices.
Throughout my corporate career I always had a little voice in my head whispering that I had more to give and receive; more support for others and more joy for myself. Therefore, just before the age of 40 I took the brave step to move away from the financial security of the corporate world into a world of greater purpose. That’s where you find me today; supporting individuals, teams and organisations to rediscover their human superpowers and use them for the collective good.
Get in touch, I’d love to explore how I can best serve you.
